ROYAL MEMORIAL HALF MARATHON (21.1KM)

The race was initiated by the Department of Sports and Recreation in remembrance of the laid King Moshoeshoe II who died along at Ha Noha, which is a place near Lekhalo la Ha -Cheche, Mantsonyane in Thaba Tseka District. On its first inauguration, the race attracted Lesotho Top Athletes such as Mamoroallo Tjoka, Teboho Sello, Mabuthile Lebopo and many more. The race is very unique and challenging as it is mostly run upwards through the valley then downhill until the finish. It is also an ideal course for preparing for Lesotho High Altitude Summer Marathon, which has the similar topography. It is mostly staged during September with varying dates depending on the availability of His Majesty The King of Lesotho.
